Ed Nykaza, PhD, is Glooko's VP of global clinical research & evidence generation. He is passionate about using data and science to improve the quality of people’s lives. In 2009, his daughter was diagnosed with T1D, which led to a pivot in his career from acoustics to diabetes.

Dr. Nykaza’s role at Glooko is leading data-driven research. His research spans the full gamut of basic to applied research. He has completed more than 100 scientific presentations and 35 publications. His expertise includes Python, statistical learning, diabetes device data, and reproducible research.

In his free time, Dr. Nykaza enjoys hiking with his wife, coding with his son, listening to his daughter sing, and trail running.
