Third-party testing firm DDL (Minneapolis) has finished expansion of its testing laboratory in Edison, NJ. Completion of the lab means that the company can now offer all of its testing services at the New Jersey facility, dubbed DDL East. Services include shock testing, vibration testing, tensile testing, leak testing, and validation services. The facility also provides upgraded temperature-controlled pack-aging, a service previously offered by TCP Reliable (the two companies merged in 2007).

“Our new lab represents a dramatic expansion to the temperature-controlled package testing capabilities that were previously being handled by TCP,” says John Hart, CEO of DDL. “Our temperature-controlled testing services have also expanded from our traditional pharmaceutical market to now include medical device manufacturers.”
Workers at the Edison location have been busy calibrating chambers in preparation for handling business operations for the East Coast. Up to this point, the company's clients in the region have been serviced through the Minnesota location.
“It has been a tedious process, but we are up and running and ready for customers to ship products to our Edison location,” says Rick Roberti, DDL East's lab manager.
DDL specializes in medical device package, product, and material testing. The firm runs three full-service labs in strategic locations. Aside from the new Edison facility, DDL has a lab in Eden Prairie, MN, and Fountain Valley, CA (known as DDL West). Copyright ©2009 Medical Device & Diagnostic Industry
