Which Countries Are Ready for Connected Care?

Which country is ready to take advantage of connected technology and potentially provide better care for its people? 

Which countries are most prepared for integrated health systems and connected care? 

Philips commissioned a report on 13 countries to learn more about access to healthcare and progress toward connected care. As part of the study, a Future Health Index (FHI) score--a measure of readiness for connected care--was calculated for each country. The results were set out in the "Future Health Index 2016" report.

The report authors describe connected care as a system "that applies technology to address the communication gaps between the various parts of a healthcare system and create a constant feedback loop between patients and the institutions and healthcare professionals that provide treatment." This can be achieved by expanding access to healthcare, integrating systems, and using more connected technology, according to Philips.
