Second-Generation CNC Machining Center Offers Extended Axes
A CNC machining center has a T-slot table measuring 40 × 14 in. that provides room for multiple fixtures or a single- or dual-axis rotary table. The Mini Mill 2 incorporates the features of the first generation of the machine with travel extended to 20 × 16 × 14 in., which is a 4-in. increase on each axis compared with the original Mini Mill. The second-generation machine also offers higher processing speeds. Optional features include fourth- and fifth-axis drives, a programmable coolant nozzle, and a 20-pocket carousel tool changer and tool side-mount.

Electric Servo-Driven Robot Features Slim Profile, High Dexterity
A supplier of robot systems offers an electric servo-driven benchtop robot that features a slim arm profile, high dexterity, and sustained speed. The result of a design collaboration between two robot manufacturers, the F5 is able to handle up to 5 kg of payload, has six degrees of freedom, and provides ±0.02-mm repeatability at full capacity. Pneumatic and electrical connections for end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) are located on joint four. Integrated solenoid valves and a servo gripper connection component simplify the EOAT in the forearm. Joint one offers full rotational movement, enabling the robot arm to flip over backward to provide a larger work area.

Synchronized Multiaxis System Minimizes Processing Time
Built for high-efficiency, mass-production machining, the NZ2000 T3Y3 features three turrets that each contain a built-in milling motor and a y-axis function. The system uses synchronized machining to minimize processing time. Suited for machining bar materials, shafts, flanges, and precision equipment, the system’s second turret features a high-rigidity structure that ensures chip disposal ability. Equipped with a 3-D interference checking function, the unit’s operating system enables operators to monitor the movements of the turrets in real time. The MAPPS III operating system also has a collision-avoidance function.

Robots Conceal Wiring to Prevent Interference with Other Equipment
Four-axis SCARA robots and five- and six-axis articulated robots are offered for medical device manufacturing applications. The robots can accommodate payloads up to 20 kg and reach distances up to 1300 mm. Electrical wiring and air lines are concealed to prevent interference and facilitate integration with surrounding equipment. Easy-to-use programming software includes 3-D simulation that enables off-line programming and remote monitoring of robot operations. Repeatability is to within ±0.015 mm. Standard, dust- and moisture-proof, and cleanroom models are available.
