South Korea—Ybrain
Ybrain, headquartered in Seoul, has developed the Yband device for treatment of neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s, mild cognitive impairment, and major depressive disorder. The noninvasive wearable headband uses nerve stimulation to combat the diseases’ effects, and the company is also working on a system to predict and diagnose neurological disorders. A randomized, sham-controlled, double-blind clinical trial involving 200 patients is currently underway. |
