Kurzweil sees nanotechnology as ultimately being a game-changing technology for humanity. He foresees a day when nanotech bots will rove our bloodstream to look for signs of disease, including contagions and cancer. Such as an immune system could be reprogrammed similar to computer-antivirus software for our computers; instead of getting a flu shot, you could simply install the latest anti-viral technology to protect against the latest flu strain.
