Patients aren't typically that knowledgeable about the underlying technology used to treat them. And for that matter, device industry professionals may be well versed in their niche but not as much so in other disciplines. With recent radiation incidents prompting many people to discover just what exactly happens in medical imaging procedures, a nice guide to various imaging technologies might be helpful.
