Instrumens, a multi-sensor solution company, announced its new bubble detection sensor that will integrate into existing liquid control systems. The technology is a new measurement system that will improve precision in liquid handling, which will reduce errors. The bubble detection sensor increases product yield, accuracy of material delivery, and reduces equipment downtime through an early indication of liquid blockage or leaks.

The technology is ideal for food processing (food safety analysis), additive manufacturing (3D printing), life sciences (microfluidic control in labs), and medical applications (dialysis, drug delivery). Comparable alternatives like ultrasonic sensors, according to the company, are five times more expensive and have restrictions on tube types and accuracy.
