Another Acquisition for Sterimed & More Supplier News

Sterimed Group, through its UK subsidiary Westfield Medical, said it has completed the acquisition of Granton Medical, a manufacturer of sterilization pouches and provider of packing services for the medical device industry in the UK.

The Granton family owners were pioneers of sterile packs for single-use surgical blades back in the 1960’s and Granton Medical has grown to be the largest manufacturer of self-seal pouches for sterilization centers and hospitals in the UK. The company has successfully developed a contract packing offering under the brand name Cleanline, encompassing medical device cleaning, assembly, and packaging solutions, performed in an ISO Class 7 cleanroom. Granton also offers printed roll stock of sterilizable packaging materials to medical device manufacturers.

Sterimed wrapped up the acquisition of Westfield Medical in early January.
