SteriPack Opens Testing Lab

Ireland-based SteriPack (Clara) has opened an in-house testing lab to accommodate its growing global customer base. According to Gary Leonard, the firm’s technical manager, the lab is a new business unit and supports the company’s existing manufacturing business. It also has capabilities to complete customer packaging validations and material and product development.

The new lab in Ireland is for packaging and materials testing and is accredited to ISO 17025 standards. Test services at the site includes accelerated aging, conditioning, vibration testing, seal strength testing, seal leak testing, altitude testing, and yield testing. “We are also procuring equipment for compression testing, drop testing, conditioning, and material analysis, which will extend the laboratory capability in the coming months,” Leonard says.
