Eight FDA-listed thermal ribbons, some of which withstand autoclaving, are available from Dynic USA Corp.

Five thermal ribbons recently were listed with FDA for use as drop-in products on FDA-approved packaging. Dynic USA Corp. (Hillsboro, OR; www.dynic.com)now has a total of eight FDA-listed thermal ribbons available for OEM use. The company is reportedly the only major manufacturer to have obtained an FDA listing for this class of products.

The company supplies ribbons designed for a range of uses, including harsh environments. The HL30 and HL32 products withstand autoclaving. The alcohol-resistant HL45 formulation is suited for use in medical and hospital applications. The company's most popular products are the L3 and S3 wax-resin ribbons, which are also registered with FDA.

Dynic USA Corp. guarantees that its products will meet OEM printer and label specifications, including custom widths and lengths. The firm is certified to ISO 9001:2000.

The FDA-listed ribbons make it easier for OEMs to gain FDA approval for their packaging. The distinction is especially important when bar codesare used.
