A producer of motors and motion control components has revamped its Web site to include a vast expanse of information relating to its products and industry. Danaher Motion (Wood Dale, IL) has crammed its site with a cornucopia of educational resources ranging from introductions to different facets of the field of motion control to articles to a training schedule and seminar overview. Beyond serving as a resource, the site also features in-depth coverage of the company’s product catalog. Product sections feature relevant literature, drawings, and documents. The site enables engineers to pull 3-D CAD templates directly into CAD software platforms. The product section also covers the company’s various brands, which include Kollmorgen, Thomson, Dover, and Portescap. Information regarding customization, integration, and system solutions is also available. The company plans to release the site in multiple language versions throughout 2006.
