Supplying precision measuring and metrology technology, Mitutoyo America Corp. (Aurora, IL) has enhanced its Web site with new technical information and a simplified design. Located at www.mitutoyo.com, the page now contains an updated product catalog, expanded product group information with application-specific case studies, and a news section that covers metrology and manufacturing trends.

One interesting new feature of the enhanced Web site is the WebLink downloadable software package that allows users to keep abreast of company developments without actually having to visit the page. "Essentially, this Flash program is a condensed version of our Web site that updates automatically every time a user logs on to the Internet," explains media marketing manager Mark Izumi. "Once downloaded and installed, the applet runs seamlessly in the background, while a person works to always bring them the most current company news and information."

The Technology Trends section is another addition that users may find beneficial. Maintained by a staff scientist, this section contains white papers and technical sheets that help to explain current industry topics like ISO accreditation and measurement uncertainty. According to Izumi, this information is available in 11 languages and will cover an expanding range of topics in the coming months.
