In order to supply medical device manufacturers with larger parts, Vaupell Northeast Molding and Tooling (Agawam, MA; www.vaupell.com) has added a Cincinnati Milacron horizontal injection molding machine to its facility. The 440-tn machine can hold a mold as big as 29 × 29 × 28 in./10 with a maximum shot size of 56 oz.... Moog Components Group (Blacksburg, VA; www.moog.com) has formed an exclusive partnership with Samplify Systems Inc. (Santa Clara, CA; www.samplify.com) to bring a signal-compression technology to the computed tomography (CT) market. The result will allow CT OEMs to compress data while maintaining image quality....To accommodate customer demand for silicone medical device components, Specialty Silicone Fabricators (Paso Robles, CA; www.ssfab.com) has announced plans to begin construction on a 100,000-sq-ft cleanroom manufacturing and office building to be completed next Fall....
