Turning to Taiwan for New Opportunities in Medtech

Taiwan is located in the center of the Asia-Pacific region, with abundant medical resources, and diverse clusters of information and communication, semiconductor, and biomedical industries. It is suitable for the investment in development of precision health industries such as high-end medical materials, AI computing, and big data analysis. Taiwan medical device manufacturers have developed actively medical research and technology and we hope to cooperate with local industries, so it will be easier to enter the supply chain of major international brands.

Huang, Bol-Wei, Deputy Director at Metal Industrial Research & Development Centre, will discuss the investment advantages of biotechnology and medical materials industry and new opportunities for cooperation in Taiwan, during a session at IME East. 

Metal Industries Research & Development Centre (MIRDC), a non-profit organization from Taiwan and assists Taiwan government to cultivate and reinforce the medical device industry in Taiwan. The organization develops medical device products and technologies in industries including dental and orthopedic implant, device, medical imaging, minimally invasive surgery instrument, and healthcare.
