Utah has a fast-growing medical device industry clustered around its capital: Salt Lake City.
Salt Lake City is home to a number of high-profile suppliers to the medical device company such as quality software firm Master Controland testing specialist Nelson Laboratories(which is being acquired by Sterigenics International).
Medron Inc., which develops and manufactures disposable medical products, is also located in the city.
Major OEMs with a Utah presence include Edwards Lifesciences, Becton Dickinson, Boston Scientific, Fresenius Medical Care, and C.R. Bard.
Utah also has a great reputation for business friendliness, and has been No. 1 in Forbes' Best States for Business rankings for five of the past six years.
