Seminar Teaches How to Run Molds 40% Faster

A session at the upcoming NPE 2006: The International Plastics Showcase trade show will describe how to design and run molds with 40% faster cycle times. The presentation, entitled Combating Global Competition with Better Technology, will discuss an engineering system approach to designing a highly efficient dynamic heat-transfer process that takes into account the thermal conductivity of the mold metal, all of the dynamic heat-transfer processes affecting the mold, the design of the cooling channels, and the technologies available to extract heat from the mold at a rapid rate.

The seminar, sponsored by Robert Beard & Associates (Kenosha, WI; www.plastic-solvers.com), will take place Tuesday, June 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For information on how to register, please go to www.npe.org/register.
