Stent- or Balloon-Protective Device Available in a Variety of Materials and Colors

Designed to ensure successful stent deployment and promote patient safety, a tubular device attaches to the distal element of a stent and balloon delivery system at final assembly and remains in place protectively until it is removed by the physician before the surgical procedure. The Centurion protective tube was developed to provide a means of significantly reducing the risk of stent damage by minimizing device exposure during this time interval. The balloon and stent remain safely suspended in the protective tube while the delivery system is transported, stored, and unloaded for use. The entire distal end of the catheter, consisting of the stent, balloon, drug coating, and catheter tip, is never compromised. The protective device is custom-designed to fit an array of devices securely. It is available in a choice of materials and colors.
