A heat-setting oven is designed to provide a cost-effective approach to the heat treating of wrapped balloons on balloon catheters. Heat treating can improve fold memory retention and reduce the wrapped profile after unsheathing. The HSO-250 shortens cycle times for fluting and wrapping equipment, and can heat-set multiple balloon catheters. The product’s front panel chambers can accommodate balloon lengths up to 150 mm while the side panel chambers can handle balloons up to 250 mm long.

Balloon Catheter Oven Shortens Cycle Times

A heat-setting oven is designed to provide a cost-effective approach to the heat treating of wrapped balloons on balloon catheters. Heat treating can improve fold memory retention and reduce the wrapped profile after unsheathing. The HSO-250 shortens cycle times for fluting and wrapping equipment, and can heat-set multiple balloon catheters. The product’s front panel chambers can accommodate balloon lengths up to 150 mm while the side panel chambers can handle balloons up to 250 mm long. Each chamber has a tapered guide, which eases insertion, keeps the sheathed balloon centered, prevents bending, and eliminates direct contact. All heat chambers have precise and uniform temperature control.
