Integra's Surprise M&D Is Nothing to Sneeze At

Integra LifeSciences has agreed to acquire Acclarent from Johnson & Johnson's Ethicon business for $275 million, plus an additional $5 million if certain regulatory milestones are met. Irvine, CA-based Acclarent is one of the largest balloon sinus dilations in the otorhinolaryngology space, according to BTIG analysts. The deal would pit Integra against two ENT titans, Medtronic and Stryker.

Medtronic Steals the Show in PFA

Medtronic won the FDA approval race in pulsed field ablation (PFA), beating out Boston Scientific as well as Johnson & Johnson. FDA approved Medtronic’s PulseSelect PFA System is for the treatment of both paroxysmal and persistent atrial fibrillation.
