Companion 2 Driver System

Companion 2 Driver System in-hospital pneumatic power supply for the SynCardia temporary Total Artificial Heart. Manufactured and submitted by SynCardia Systems Inc. (Tucson, AZ). The Companion 2 Driver System powers the SynCardia temporary Total Artificial Heart inside the hospital. The driver is docked in the hospital cart for surgery and initial recovery, and in the driver caddy once the patient’s condition begins to stabilize. Supply and design credit to DC Electronics (San Jose, CA), and Bimba Manufacturing (University Park, IL).
