Procedure: The company has developed the ValenTx endoluminal bypass therapy that requires no surgery, stapling or permanent modification of the obese patient's anatomy.
It mimics the gold standard of gastric bypass but with a device that is adjustable, removable and replcaeable. The sleeve is introduced into the stomach through the mouth. The creation of a small gastric pouch means less food can be ingested by the patient.
