Rubber Bonding Can Reduce Chances of Failure

By molding rubber components directly to parts, a company says it can reduce the likelihood of failure in the field. A variety of components (including rubber gaskets, supports, seals, and o-rings) can be bonded to a variety of substrates (including acetal, aluminum, bronze, and stainless steel). The process can be used to make noninvasive medical devices.
