Custom-engineered optical elements with dimensions as small as 0.20 mm can be ground and polished to micron tolerances. A variety of configurations, including lenses, prisms, axicons, filters, windows, domes, and mirrors, is available. The supplier also offers special components with various combinations of flat, spherical, and cylindrical surfaces. Typically created from optical and filter glasses, the tiny elements can be given specialized coatings to meet application requirements.
