These 11 Sensor Technologies Could Revolutionize Personal Health

Advances in sensing technology have the potential to put traditional diagnostic and monitoring tools that were once centralized in care settings like hospitals and doctors offices into the hands of individual patients. Recognizing how that could transform personal health, the XPrize Foundation partnered with mobile communications giant Nokia to launch the Nokia Sensing XChallenge, a competition created to spur innovation in hardware sensors and software sensing technology that enable individuals access, understand, and improve their health and wellbeing.

This week, the 11 finalists were announced, and the public has until October 30 to vote for the one they think should take home the $2.25-million prize. Which team do you think should win?
