Connectors Have a User-Configurable Design

The assembly can be mounted from either the inside or outside of the case

High-reliability circular connectors are color coded, customer keyable, and are available in sealed or shielded configurations. Hypertronics Corp. (Hudson, MA) offers the HyperGrip connectors, which supply a recognizable system for accurate and quick connections on medical equipment. 

The sealing option on the units provides IP67 protection when mated, to prevent electrical shorts. A shielding feature supplies EMI/RFI protection against interference. The connectors have a front or rear panel mountreceptacle design that enables the user to mount the harness assembly from inside or outside of the case.

"HyperGrip is a user-configurable product comprised of few basic components so customers don't have to purchase dozens of different components, which often results in excess inventory," says TomKannally, the company's medical industry manager.

The units use the company's Hypertac contact technology that provides high mating-cycle life, low power consumption, low insertion force, reliability under harsh conditions, and maximum contact performance.
