An upcoming MED Webcast, "How to Choose the Right Heat-Shrink Tubing for Your Application," sponsored by Arrow Electronics and TE Connectivity, aims to help medical electronics designers navigate that decision. The free Webcast will cover:

  • The landscape of the medical heat-shrink tubing industry, including history, technologies and chemistries, manufacturing capabilities, and future trends.  

  • Applications driving the market for medical heat-shrink tubing.  

  • New heat-shrink tubing products and how to use them in your designs.

Leading the discussion will be three experts from TE Connectivity, which designs and manufactures products to connect and protect power and data flow.

Global product manager Juan Contreras has been working with wire, cable, and heat-shrink tubing in TE Connectivity's Raychem division for more than 15 years and currently manages the company's interventional business segment within the medical business unit. Martin Kozitza, manager of product development engineering, runs TE Medical's interventional products advanced development engineering organization and is a veteran of medical device companies such as St. Jude Medical and Agilent. George Pieslak, senior principal for product development engineering, has been working in polymer chemistry and  materials development for the Rachem division for more than 30 years. Now part of TE Medical, he focuses on developing and applying new materials for use in theareas of medical tubing and catheters.
