Vacuum-Handling Tool Can Manipulate Small Parts Without Damage

A small-part handling kit is a general-purpose manual vacuum handling tool for manipulating parts as small as 0.05 in. (0.10 mm) without damage. The TV1000-SP8-BD-MAG1 plugs directly into a 110-V, 50/60-Hz power source. The compact unit handles a variety of optics, ball lenses, and surface-mount-technology parts by means of a vacuum tweezer designed to be less likely to lose parts than mechanical tweezers. The kit includes a set of rubber-tipped vacuum tips and a set of eight small-parts tips. Also included is a 2.5× illuminated magnifier that runs on three AAA batteries. A long-life diaphragm vacuum pump generates up to 10 in.Hg with an open airflow of 2.3 L/min.
