Tekni-Plex Medical, a Tekni-Plex business unit, will be presenting a webinar on medical tubing on December 15th at 2pm EST. In "New Tubing Material Advancements Drive Dramatic Improvements for Critical Fluid Transfer Applications," Alex Kakad, global product manager, Tekni-Plex Medical, will look at various factors and design considerations that should be taken into account when selecting tubing for a specific application. For instance, new material and tubing constructions as well as advances that offer potential medical device improvements will be discussed. Topics will include new solutions for peristaltic pump applications, sensitive drug transfers, and fluid management tubing sets that can be peeled apart.

Tekni-Plex Medical also participated in Virtual Engineering Week event, November 30 to December 4. Its virtual exhibit highlighted a streamlined way for medical device manufacturers to obtain sample-size tubing quantities. Now available through the Chamfr online marketplace, stock tubing ships within one day to help medical device manufacturers reduce their testing and commercialization timeline, Tekni-Plex reported.
