applied_stepper.jpgA stepper motor driver provides up to 5 A per phase from a high bus voltage with sophisticated current control, delivering high torque over a range of speeds. The STAC5 is intended for use in such medical device applications as infusion pumps, scanners, analyzers, physiotherapy equipment, and lasers. The driver features an antiresonance algorithm with electronic damping that helps maximize torque utilization and shortens settling times. It is offered in 120- and 220-V-ac versions, both of which are housed in a compact package. They can be purchased with a variety of high-torque NEMA 23 and NEMA 34 stepper motors featuring holding torques ranging from 84 to 1700 oz-in.
