Accepting any 36-V-dc source, including solar or battery power, a company’s reversible gearmotor is rated for 217 lb-in. of output torque at 26 rpm. The 5-lb motor measures 2.24 in. in diameter and 9.25 in. in length, including its fail-safe brake, and has a keyed output shaft 12 mm in diameter by 25 mm long. Four face-mount M5 threaded holes facilitate mounting of the IP54-sealed unit. Designed for efficiency, this gearmotor requires just 3.0 A at 36 V dc to generate its full-load torque, which results in a long-life battery charge, low-noise operation, and savings on related drive electronics. Motor windings for 12, 24, 28, 42, 48, 60, and 90 V are available, as are fully compatible controls to provide variable speed control. These motors can be equipped with encoders, planetary gearheads, standard or low-backlash gearing, and other options.
