Jabil now offers molding services--such as two-shot liquid silicone rubber molding in a Class 8 cleanroom environment--for single-use device applications.

Contract design and manufacturing services provider, Jabil (St. Petersburg, FL), which specializes in medical electronics and plastics molding services, has launched a single-use device (SUD) business. The company's experience with medical device manufacturing, in addition to its global supply chain, have enabled it to expand into providing SUD outsourcing capabilities for such applications as drug-delivery products, catheters, and diagnostic laboratory disposables. The scale of the company's supply chain and its manufacturing facilities in parts of the United States, Europe, Malaysia, and China position it to offer cost-effective outsourcing services. This established network enables the company to help OEMs focus on their core competencies while it helps reduce manufacturing costs and time-to-market. In addition to design and development, the company offers tooling, assembly, sterilization management, and after-market services.
