Linear Motor Kits Designed for Specialty Low-Profile Applications

A company has developed custom microlinear motor kits for specialty low-profile applications. The units can function as limited travel actuators or linear motors, in single- or multiphase configurations. The air-core linear motors feature traditional servo drives and true sinusoidal torque curves. They can integrate with sinusoidal motor controller electronics to create a controllable, consistent force. Optional magnet track lengths are available. Models feature profiles that are less than 0.5-in. tall, cover 5 N/amp force constant, and operate at up to 5 m/sec on 24 V. They also have low magnetic core loss.
