Burkert Fluid Control Systems Introduces Miniature Rocker Valves

A developer of fluid control systems for the medical industry has released microfluidic rocker valves. The valves come in sizes of 10, 16, and 22 mm and in two- and three-way versions. Their performance-to-size ratio allows them to be incoroprated into such portable medical devices as oxygen concentrators, dialysis equipment, and diagnostic instruments. The smallest version is available with orifices up to 1.6 mm wide and resistance to pressures as great as 73 psi.

The 16- and 22-mm versions have a 3.0-mm orifice and pressure-resistance ratings of 29 and 73 psi, respectively. The robust separating diaphragm and a low-dead-volume fluid cavity together enable low carryover, good flushability, and relatively easy cleaning.
