Who Are Medtech's Best Employers? Forbes Has Ideas

Find out how medical device companies ranked in Forbes' inaugural edition of "America's Best Employers 2015."

GE Healthcare, Fresenius Medical, and Smith & Nephew are among the best-scoring medical device companies in Forbes'  "America's Best Employers 2015."

This is a new ranking out of Forbes.  It is based on an independent survey of a statistically representative sample of 20,000 American employees working for U.S. companies or institutions with more than 2500 workers apiece, as well as U.S. divisions of international firms. Several online panels queried the works on whether they would recommend their employers or other employers in their industry to someone looking for a job.

"The result: a list of 500 employers, across 25 industries, where the workers like their jobs enough to spread the word," Forbes says.

Here are the medical device companies that showed up in the list of 500:

Some of these companies are usual suspects. For example, Stryker was No. 20 among Best Places to Work on the Glassdoor 2015 Employees' Choice Awards. Stryker also placed well on a Fortune roundup of 100 companies that were deemed to be the most employer-friendly in the United States.

As for the company that made it to the top of the new Forbes' ranking, it was no surprise, either: Google was No. 1.
