Teleflex Nabs Purchasing Agreement with Premier
The agreements allow Premier members access to special pricing and terms pre-negotiated by the company for Teleflex’s central venous and arterial vascular access products.
Teleflex yesterday announced it has been awarded two group purchasing agreements with Premier, a healthcare improvement company partnered with approximately 4,400 United States hospitals and 250,000 other providers to enable better care and outcomes at a lower cost.
The agreements allow Premier members access to special pricing and terms pre-negotiated by the company for Teleflex’s central venous and arterial vascular access products. Premier has awarded Teleflex a national agreement for hemodynamic monitoring products and accessories, a national agreement for central venous access, a sole source for AscenDrive central venous access, and a sole source for Surpass central venous access.
The group purchasing agreement includes access to Teleflex’s Arrowg+ard Blue Plus CVCs and Arrow ErgoPack Complete Systems. Arrowg+ard Blue Plus CVCs are broad-spectrum antimicrobial CVCs that protect against both ram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, fungi, and demonstrate a 67% to 100% reduction in CLABSI2-5. When combined with the Arrow ErgoPack Complete Systems, the pair standardize vascular access across a system, maintain optimal patient care, control costs, and infection risk.
“Teleflex strives to deliver vascular access products that are designed to benefit both clinicians and patients, while helping to protect against vascular access related complications like infection and thrombosis,” said Lisa Kudlacz, president and general manager - Teleflex Vascular, in a press release announcing the agreement. “As the market leader in both central venous catheters and arterial access catheters, we are pleased to continue to support Premier members with these products.”
