A precision machining contract manufacturer has changed its name. Peak Precision Manufacturing (Colorado Springs, CO; www.magnumtool.com/hmmachine.htm) was formerly known as HM Machine. The company is still a division of Magnum Tool Company, Inc. (Colorado Springs, CO; www.magnumtool.com). . . . Oliver Medical (Grand Rapids, MI; www.olivermedical.com)—a provider of lids, rollstock, header bags, pouches, and services for the medical packaging industry—has been acquired by Mason Wells, a private equity company based in Milwaukee. The company’s current management team will remain intact. . . .A provider of testing equipment designed to evaluate the mechanical properties of materials and components, Instron (Norwood, MA; www.instron.com), has announced a partnership with Machine Solutions Inc. (Flagstaff, AZ; www.machinesolutions.com), a manufacturer of mechanical products for medical devices. The partnership allows Instron to introduce its 5544/RX testing system, which can be used to measure and record the radial stiffness and hoop strength of interventional medical devices. . . . Endicott Interconnect Technologies Inc. (Endicott, NY; www.endicottinterconnect.com), which offers electronic interconnect products used in the medical device industry, has been awarded a production contract worth $49 million from the U.S. Department of Defense. The contract includes $5 million for research and development of electronics packaging technologies, including printed circuit boards and substrates for high-productivity computing. . . . Creganna Medical Devices (Galway, Ireland; www.creganna.com), a provider of technologies to makers of minimally invasive medical devices, has announced the opening of a new facility in Marlborough, MA. The facility houses production capability for extruded and braided tubing, as well as a contract design service team that offers design and development of minimally invasive delivery systems on an outsourced basis.
