Body Vision Medical (BVM) recently announced it has signed exclusive distribution agreements with Prism Technologies Limited, Paragon Care, and Kral Medical Solutions to open the Hong Kong, Macao and entire Greater Bay Area, Australia and New Zealand, and Romania markets to the LungVision real-time intraoperative CT imaging system.

The LungVision system, which is AI-powered, can take X-ray images from any C-arm device and turn them into real-time intraoperative CT scans, which helps bronchoscopist’s visualize pulmonary lesions and ensure precise biopsy during diagnostic bronchoscopy, according to BVM.

The company stated that the exclusive distribution agreements signify their commitment to giving lung patients greater access to the latest AI-powered imaging technology.

"We view these partnerships as a pivotal stride towards democratizing Body Vision's LungVision and giving lung patients worldwide access to the latest in AI-powered imaging technology,” said David Webster, CEO of BVM, in a press release announcing the agreement. “In many parts of the world with high lung cancer incidence, limited access to advanced medical solutions has translated into lower patient survival rates. With innovative yet cost-effective solutions like LungVision, we hope to challenge and change that status quo."

Looking forward over the next three years, the company said it aims to expand access to the system in 60 new markets.
