Cognex Vision System

A manufacturer of machine vision systems for medical device inspection and traceability has developed an entry-level vision system specifically for inspection tasks for which vision sensors are too limited in capability and a standard vision system may not be cost-effective. The self-contained In-Sight 7010 system is production-ready essentially out of the box, includes autofocus optics and integrated lighting, and features a compact IP67-rated industrial housing. The autofocus system, which comes with five lens options to match the requirements for working distance and field of view of various applications, accommodates production situations involving regular part changes or positioning in hard-to-reach areas where manual focus adjustment would be difficult. In addition to integrated white-light illumination, four colored lights are optionally available for use with this system. An intuitive user interface facilitates the configuration of applications. The simplified built-in vision library focuses on the tools most frequently used in performing straightforward vision-based tasks.
