Measurement software

A Windows-compatible software package is designed to collect and store data from manual, semiautomatic, and automatic inspection systems. Precision measurement applications traditionally have a steep learning curve; however, the simple color-coded graphics used in GageMetrics software minimize training time, start-up time, and potential for operator error, according to the manufacturer. These features also ensure reproducible results from different operators. Embedded measurement templates enable users to configure measurement formulas by selecting the appropriate template and matching the associated probes.

EMI software

By translating circuit design parameters, a program calculates EMI characteristics for the prediction and correction of EMI problems. A product’s EMI performance can be compared with requirements for conducted emissions, radiated emissions, conducted susceptibility, and radiated susceptibility. Calculations conducted by EMI Analyst incorporate such design parameters as nonideal circuit components, cabling construction, wire routing, twisting, shield construction and termination, grounding, circuit impedance and balance, filtering, and field distributions and propagation.

Metrology software

A supplier’s measurement software allows users to develop inspection routines directly from CAD models via point-and-click programming. Suited for machine tools equipped with either Siemens or Fanuc controllers, PC-DMIS NCi provides real-time feedback to users’ machine tools based on measurements obtained during part production. The product establishes a bidirectional link between the metrology software and the machine tool’s controller. It also can update x, y, z, and rotational work offsets and probe offsets based upon the evaluation of measurement data.
