BRANY Introduces Program to Accelerate Start of Clinical Trials

When it comes to clinical trials, speed can be of the essence.

“Every day a study does not get up and running, it is another day of missed milestones with significant budget impact,” said Kimberly Irvine, executive vice president of operations for the Biomedical Research Alliance of New York (BRANY), in a release.

In the interest of helping clients get trials underway expediently, BRANY announced that it has created Smart-Start-60, a program designed to do just that. Clients pick from the organization’s network of affiliated investigator sites, and within 60 days, BRANY will begin the processes of developing a budget, negotiating contracts, completing regulatory documents (such as informed consent form modifications), and submitting for IRB review.

“Smart-Start-60 is an essential tool for sponsors and CROs to keep trials on schedule,” Irvine said.

BRANY is an organization that specializes in facilitating clinical trials for companies involved in therapeutic products.
