Company Provides CT Scanning Services

A company’s metrology center provides industrial computed-tomography (CT) scanning services intended to help clients save money on preproduction inspection while being able to analyze internal failures of complex components quickly and accurately in 3-D without destructive testing. CT scanning allows delicate and fragile medical device parts to be scanned in a free-state environment; design requirements for both internal and external components can be validated quickly and accurately. Internal accuracy to ±0.0002 in. (±6 µm) is guaranteed.

Following the initial scan, the client can choose from a range of options: part-to-CAD comparison, part-to-part comparison, assembly and defect analysis, void analysis, generation of CAD, wall-stock analysis, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
