A company has built a compact, semiautomatic tray sealer that is suited for low-volume applications. Built on the same chassis as the manufacturer’s T250 tray sealer, the T260 has more sealing force, seals more trays per cycle, and offers a higher level of seal integrity than its predecessor. The machine is compliant with ISO 11607 and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 guidelines. The sealer is engineered specifically to meet medical device industry requirements and was designed for cleanroom compatibility. It can be used to package implants, combination packs, diagnostic devices, and other sterile medical products requiring seal validation and low residual oxygen. The system is available with RFID technology, which can be used to track machine-operator control changes, and a bar code scanner, which can be used to track batch production processes.
