Adhesive tape system developed for splicing film

Adhesive tape system developed for splicing film. A 243PE double-coated tape designed for splicing polyolefine film is now available from Adchem Corp. (Riverhead, NY; 631/727-6000). The tape has a 4-mil polyethylene film support that conforms to irregular surfaces and a high-tack adhesion that picks up the splice, making the tape recyclable. The film is coated with a synthetic-rubber adhesive on the exposed side, and with a rubber-based adhesive on the liner side. Features of both sides include high-shear, high-tack, and moderate-peel properties.
