Google Glass has already managed to win the support of many doctors and healthcare technology companies who envisage Glass as being a game changer for everything from boosting surgeon's performance to providing a novel neural interface.

Some medical schools are already training doctors-to-be with the platform, including Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry. In 2014, the school used the technology to livestream a surgery to more than 13,000 viewers online, who could see the surgery from the same perspective as the surgeon.

In addition, Google is already collaborating with several medical startups to explore healthcare-based applications of the technology, as evidenced on the Google Developers website. Included in the list is Pristine, which envisions its technology linking medical device companies and healthcare providers. Other examples listed on the site include manufacturing and quality assurance.

Rumors that the tech behemoth would be introducing an enterprise version of Glass targeted at professionals ranging from physicians to engineers were supported by images discovered on the FCC website, including the one above.
