Creganna Acquires Tactx

Creganna (Galway, Ireland) has announced the acquisition of Avalon Medical Services Pte., which trades as Tactx Medical Inc. (Campbell, CA). The new company will be called Creganna--Tactx Medical.The acquisition serves to strengthen Creganna's capabilities for the minimally invasive market. Specializing in metal shafts, injection molding, and needle grinding, Creganna's outsourced service offerings are complemented by those provided by Tactx, which include extrusion, braiding, coiling, and balloon fabrication. Medical applications for these combined competencies include minimally invasive delivery and access devices employed in interventional cardiology, neurology, peripheral vascular products, cardiac rhythm management, and endoscopy.With combined 2009 revenues of $110 million, the two companies maintain that, together, they are poised for future growth. Through the acquisition, Creganna has also expanded its global presence with facilities in CA, MN, MA, Singapore, and Ireland.
