VCS-1010D Linear Positioning Stage

The VCS-1010D linear positioning stage, part of the customizable VCS-10 series of compact voice coil stages available from Equipment Solutions Inc. for high-speed, high-precision optical and laser focusing, features a 10-mm clear aperture and a 1-?m-resolution digital position sensor for submicron positioning, with differential quadrature outputs and a center index pulse. Its highly responsive, frictionless voice coil motor has been optimized to keep the moving mass as low as possible for fast response; step response time is under 3 milliseconds. The motor exhibits very low electrical noise. Like others in the series, this stage is capable of no-load acceleration of 50 G and provides 10 mm of linear motion. It measures 76 x 41 x 38 mm, weighs 255 g, and can be operated horizontally or vertically.
