You Voted: Who Wins Our Presidential Straw Poll?

We got a surprising number of write-in candidates. The old standby, Mickey Mouse made an appearance, as did two "Not Obama" votes. Readers also corrected our neglect of Newt Gingrich by sending 17 votes his way. But the clear winner, even subtracting the "anti" votes was Barack Obama. Mitt Romney came in at a close second. Ron Paul and Rick Santorum were neck-in-neck to fill out the third position, and Paul squeaked by Santorum with less than 10 votes difference.

So here it is:

Now comes the hard question. Why did you vote for one candidate over another? Sound off in our comment space below. One voter actually decided to use exercise his freedom of speech as follows: "I don't care. I am not looking for a doctor. I am looking for a president to represent American citizens, not any special interest."

So here is another question: is the medical device industry a special interest? Do we have too much power in Washington, or not enough?
