Orbel Sets Up Shop in Pennsylvania

Orbel Corp. has opened an electroplating and photochemical milling facility in Easton, PA, to increase its manufacturing capacity and efficiency.

The 57,000-sq-ft facility houses advanced production processes and several other amenities, including a wet lab, a measurement and testing lab, and an internal maintenance department. The company, which uses a fully integrated shop-floor control system, has installed an advanced waste-water-treatment system at the plant to address environmental concerns.

Orbel was previously headquartered in Phillipsburg, NJ, but the facility could no longer support the company's growth.

Orbel provides precision electroplating, photochemical milling, and surface-passivation services to the medical device industry.
