The Medical Device Manufacturers Association (MDMA) has appointed three new members to its board of directors, as well as a new slate of board officers. The three new members are Kelvyn H. Cullimore Jr., Ryan D. Drant, and C. Russell Trenary III.
Cullimore is president and CEO of Dynatronics Corp. (Salt Lake City). He founded the firm with his father in 1979, and has been president and CEO since 1992. Concentrated in the physical therapy market, Dynatronics makes advanced electrotherapy technology, ultrasound devices, pain management systems, and aesthetic products.
Drant is a partner at New Enterprise Associates (Baltimore), a venture capital firm focusing on early-stage information technology, medical, and life sciences companies. He joined the firm in 1996 and specializes in healthcare investments.
Trenary is corporate vice president and president of the Americas region for Advanced Medical Optics Inc. (AMO; Santa Ana, CA). Trenary is also responsible for the global surgical business of AMO, which is focused on the ophthalmic surgery and contact lens care markets. He has been with AMO since 2001.
The board elected Chris Chavez chairman, Nancy Briefs vice chairwoman, and Ron Earle treasurer. Chavez is president and CEO of Advanced Neuromodularization Systems (Plano, TX). Briefs is president and CEO of Percardia Inc. (Merrimack, NH). Earle is group senior vice president of B. Braun OEM/Industrial Division (Bethlehem, PA).
